Overview

Scrum is the most popular Agile project management and project development methodology/framework in use today. The Scrum Framework, as defined in the Scrum Body of Knowledge Guide (SBOK Guide) is widely used across portfolios, programs, and projects in any industry, for products, services and any other deliverables to be developed.

Within a Scrum team, the Product Owner role is a core role that is critical for success. The Product Owner communicates the prioritised business requirements to the Scrum team, creates the prioritised backlog and defines the acceptance criteria. The Product Owner also delivers business value to the Customer through incremental product releases.

This is a highly engaging course that provides participants with a detailed understanding of the role of a Product Owner in a Scrum Team. The Product Owner represents the interests of the stakeholder community to the team. The Product Owner is responsible for ensuring clear communication of product or service functionality requirements to the Scrum Team, defining Acceptance Criteria, and ensuring those criteria are met. The Product Owner must understand and support the needs and interests of all stakeholders, while also understanding the needs and workings of the Scrum Team.

A copy of the SBOK Guide will be provided to all participants of this training course.

Successful candidates will be awarded the Scrum Product Owner Certified (SPOC) certification by SCRUMstudy after passing the certification exam.
