Scrum is today the most popular Agile framework, used by organisations worldwide. One survey found that over 70% of surveyed agile projects are managed using Scrum. Scrum is a simple yet incredibly powerful set of practices that help teams deliver products in short cycles, enable fast feedback, and create a culture of rapid adaptation to change. This class teaches the foundations of Agile and provides a solid understanding of the Scrum framework. Through this course, learn the essential concepts and tools of Scrum, including managing product backlogs, planning releases and sprints, tracking and reporting progress, and conducting stand-ups and retrospectives.
A Certified ScrumMaster helps project teams properly use Scrum, increasing the likelihood of the project's overall success. CSMs understand Scrum values, practices, and applications and provide a level of knowledge and expertise above and beyond that of typical project managers. CSMs act as "servant leaders," helping the rest of the Scrum team work together and learn the Scrum framework. CSMs also protect the team from both internal and external distractions. The course is fundamentally focused on standard Core Scrum, so you know you’re learning the concepts and vocabulary other Certified ScrumMasters learned. It also includes discussion of common optional Scrum practices, and various other topics and recommendations based on experience with working Scrum teams.
