Overview
On successful completion of this course delegates will be able to:
Understand the theory of TCP/IP as well as basic network features and concepts, including DHCP, IP subnets and addresses, IP routing, and IP diagnostic facilities.
Days 2 & 3 Understand how VME hosted network connections (SAP hierarchies) are implemented and managed, be able to set up network connections to support VME RSA, FTF and ftp, and Direct Print and LPR services.
Set up network connections to support ADI and CSA services, understand the commands available to manage VME networking related Tasks and Services, understand VME network diagnostic tracing facilities and be able to provide Fujitsu support staff with relevant network and connection trace information produced by VME.
Audience
This course is for technical support staff who will be involved in implementing, supporting and managing VME-based networks.
Prerequisites
Delegates should have a basic understanding of computer systems, but no previous computer networking knowledge is required.
