Overview
The Riverbed Certified Performance Engineering (RCPE) Professional Flow Visibility & Analysis instructorled training course teaches concepts and use-cases focused on the monitoring, triage, and troubleshooting of your network and infrastructure, using a combination of flow analysis, packet inspection, and polling solutions.
Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to execute on core skills and critical to addressing performance problems and bottlenecks in modern multitier networked applications. In addition, they will learn to analyze metrics gathered by flow collection, packet inspection, and infrastructure polling approaches. Participants will also gain hands on configuration and problem-solving experience. An RCPE Professional Certification in Network & Infrastructure Visibility is offered after completing all courses at this level.
Audience
This course is specifically designed for Riverbed customers and resellers/partners involved in the design or deployment of these Riverbed SteelCentral products for network performance management.
Prerequisites
Certification as a CCNP/CCIP or the equivalent internetworking knowledge extremely helpful (routing protocols, TCP/IP, network design, and troubleshooting). Basic knowledge of the Linux operating system is helpful but not required.

Describe the network and infrastructure visibility solution architecture.
Answer common performance questions using various reporting techniques.
Configure flow export, collection and storage.
Install and configure the flow collection and analysis solution.
Visualize usage and performance using custom reports and drill-downs.
Monitor real-time performance of the network with analytics, services and dashboards.
Monitor and report on WAN optimization implementations.
Integrate packet capture and inspection for application performance metrics and network forensics.
Integrate Infrastructure polling for performance metrics and availability monitoring.
Centralize end-to-end visibility using custom dashboards.
